My name is Jennifer Krutsch and I live in Southern California with my amazing husband and two awesome kids. I am a Wish Fairy for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Orange County and Inland Empire Chapter. My experience with Make-A-Wish has been one of the best things I have ever done in my entire life. The organization is awesome and my heart is full of love for my Wish Kids. Make-A-Wish can always use more volunteers. If you are interested, go to www.makeawish.org for more information. If you live in Orange County or the Inland Empire, go to www.wishocie.org for information on becoming a volunteer and info on our events taking place throughout the counties.
The biggest joy in my life is my husband, Corey and our two kids, Taylor and Mason. Corey and I have known each other since we were young teenagers but life split us apart for many years and when Corey finished his Master’s Degree program at Ohio University and got his first job, he was transferred from Ohio to Irvine, California where I just happened to be living at the time. He got in touch with my cousin and eventually got in touch with me and let’s just say the rest is history…living history that we are creating together. He truly is my best friend and soul mate and I couldn’t survive without him.
We have two children…Taylor, who loves to help me in the kitchen. And Mason who has absolutely no interest in being in the kitchen. Our kids are outgoing, funny, smart and most importantly…polite, loving and considerate. They have a diverse group of friends and I believe that their friendships, combined with my experiences with Make-A-Wish and of course awesome parents raising their kids the right way, have made them very open-hearted, loving and kind kids. And that is my greatest accomplishment!!
The four of us have been very blessed in life and we are truly living it to the fullest! We travel a lot…with and without the kids. And we love to play in the desert on our quads and RZRs. It’s a family affair…we ride and so do my mom and dad and that gives our kids lots of great memories and quality, fun-filled time with their grandma and grandpa. Corey’s parents live in the beautiful state of Oregon and we visit with them as much as possible. We all just spent the 4th of July in Marysvale, Utah riding all the breathtaking trails and getting in a little white water rafting as well. Below are a few pictures of me and my family. I always have a camera in hand because I don’t like to miss a single moment. And although this is a cooking blog, I’d like to share some of the wonderful memories we have created. I hope you enjoy them as well. If you are just here for cooking, you might be on the wrong blog because I am more than just a cook…I am mom, a wife, a volunteer, a strong woman with a loving heart and inquisitive mind. Happy Memories!!
My family on an excursion in Cozumel, Mexico that got us a little bit dirty.
Out in the desert enjoying family time. My son is on the blue quad. My daughter drives the Mini RZR. And yes, our dog, Honey Girl, rides with us wearing her Doggles.
4th of July 2012 – camping trip to Pacific City, Oregon.
4th of July 2013. Family camping trip for riding and white water rafting in Marysvale, Utah.
Day trip to the Palm Springs Aerial Tram. February 2013. I had rotator cuff surgery in December 2012 so my arm was still in a sling.
Our family is into all kinds of different sports and sporting activities. From top to bottom: at the Tigers vs. Angels game (I am an Angels fan, hubby is a Tigers fan), at the Ducks playoff game against Detroit Red Wings (if my husband was a Detroit Red Wings fan, we may have never been married. Thankfully, he loves the Ducks), On our way to the Raiders vs. Chargers game (my husband is a Cleveland Browns fan at heart but he also supports my Oakland Raiders – as long as they aren’t playing the Browns), at the Professional Bull Riding Championship in Pala, Ca, at the Long Beach Grand Prix.
We traveled with the Anaheim Ducks in 2007 to play two games against the L.A. Kings at the O2 Arena is London, England
The love of my life, my husband Corey. And me in the kitchen – where I love to be.
I may add more pictures as memories continue to be made. But for now, I just wanted to share a little bit of my family because they are the greatest blessing in my life. Check back soon.
